LDKS (Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan Siswa). Usually this activity is often found in schools and universities. LDKS is one of the school activities which aims to train the leadership spirit of students and students. LDKS is a basic training on all things related to leadership. This training is usually given by the old OSIS administrators to prospective new OSIS administrators, both for middle school and high school levels (for secondary school level LDK). Not only in schools, LDKS can also be found in universities that want to find new BEM members.

The basic training provided is aimed at providing leadership provisions to new OSIS administrators who will later become leaders of the entire OSIS unit of the school concerned. Every year, this program is always planned and implemented by the school or college. LDKS is self-development program for students or students involved in organizations at school or college. This activity can be a forum for students to express and explore the potential that exists within them.

There are several objectives of the LDKS. Through LDKS, students are expected to have the characteristics of a leader who has intellectual, creative and rational thinking that is useful for the religion and homeland of the Indonesian nation who is imbued with the spirit of Pancasila, Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 and believes in God Almighty. To makes students to be braver and play an active role by appearing in voicing students' aspirations to the school so that the development process towards school progress can be realized together.

There are lots of benefits from LDKS. LDKS is the right activity to train and grow self-confidence. This is because there is a lot of material that will be provided during the LDKS activity. In fact, to develop your self-confidence, usually the management will give participants the opportunity to speak in public for presentations. Apart from that, the management will also provide opportunities to meet new friends and socialize with new people. LDKS makes students become disciplined, namely committed to obeying existing rules and regulations. And to become a leader, students must learn to be responsible for their duties and obligations, so that they can complete them well.

In conclusion, LDKS is such an important activity to makes students being a better person. LDKS gives students lots of benefits. It is important to remember that basic student leadership training is not just about producing successful leaders, but also about forming good character. By developing leadership abilities and moral values, students become better person who can make positive contributions to their society and their successful future.
